Welcome to the Queensland Government Information Service.

This service allows you to search a catalogue of Queensland Government information and associated data for the purposes of downloading and using appropriate software to view the data, e.g. Geographic Information System (GIS) software.

This is a Queensland Government initiative to provide improved public access to a variety of geospatial and associated data. This Internet application allows users to discover, display, select and download or order data over their area of interest in various formats, including map coverage data, image data and text file data.

This service is also designed to support the sharing of geographic and associated data between government, stakeholders and other interested parties

The following Queensland Government agencies currently make metadata and data available through the Queensland Government Information Service:

• Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries.
